What happened to this place? Its become so dead in the last few weeks. Noone ever comes in here anymore. Theres hardly any new post. What happened to the old days that people came and were active?
i come one quite often but theres really no new news for me to post so i usually dont paost anything unless im responding to another post.
Hey Ky the reason you havn't got the bolts yet is becuase i screwed up on your address so it came back to me, i'll get it back in the mail with the correct address in a few days.

the "vert comp" (10ft high ramp!!)
a 10 foot ramp is a perfect ramp to train in, at least thats how i feel

i hate little ramps like the 10ft one at y2sk8, we skate a 14ft ramp and its soo much nicer, u have more time on big ramps, on small ramps all movements are really jerkey making everything sketchy looking + u dont have as much time to recover between tricks as there is like no flat bottom.

see everyone just needed something to get the conversation started... now carry that on through the rest of the board.
i tried skating a 13" ramp in Kentuky and i didn't like it that much, i guess i just need more time in the vert to get used to it.

i dunno i liked that 13'(even if i didn't drop-in on it), but i think it was probably just how fast it was that i liked, cause the 6' and even mini were extremly fast. i just like going fast on stuff...as fast as possible. probably cause i like transfers.
hey guys leave my vert alone ... i know its only 10ft high but still its better than nothing ... i do think that Epic is way better though even though ive only skated it once and didnt really do much stuff ... id love to be able to skate there as much as you guys do! the british should be mad anyway, especially compared with last years vert comp (or lack of due to you guys not being there!) ... but hey i did win open! so entering expert this year should be a right laugh!
luke im not dissing your ramp ata all i love a 10 foot trmap. just be happy you still have a vert ramp close by. The vert ramp i train on, which isn't even close by 3 hours, is being torn down at the begging of the year. So i got to find a new ramp which will be even further away.

hey Paul, how much room do you have in your backyard? sounds like its time to build a 10' in your yard. i'm thinking about it here soon....maybe not 10', but at least 6 or 7'.
i've been trying to convince my parents for a long time but they wont budge on it. i got them to allow me to build a grind box and rail combo.

i've transformed my back porch into a skatepark....4' quarter, long rail & step, launch ramp, picnic table, flat bar. its an alright set-up...but i need to re-sheet the quarterpipe. i wanna build a small 6' pipe maybe next year if i get the funds.

I've been riding the 9 1/2 foot vert at my skatepark for years. Now I am starting to have trouble, I think I've outgrown it. I learned flatspin 5's at woodard but can't do them at my home ramp. (I have totally wrecked myself trying).
I'm glad i hit my local outdoor park yesterday becuase guess what happened tonihg. IT SNOWED!!! We've got about an inch or two outside and it really sucks becuase now i got to dish out $10 a session. damnit soemone please tell me why my parents moved me to wisconsin where you can only skate 5 months out of the year!!!

Not sure why it's been slow. We need more members and more people to know about the site. There's only so much just us can chat about.
that 10 foot vert is the only vert pipe ive ever skated... still good. hopefully people can get the word out bout this site at the british open comp today
everywhare i go i tell people about high rollaz and ALOT of people seem interested in it.
vert is dying down. i've seen 3 in my area close. oh well, there will always be street. the good thing about street is that you can take it with you wherever you go--street can go to parks. you can't necessarily take what you learned in a park to street because the street doesnt have ankle high ledges that slope like a funbox, nor does the street have quarterpipes with coping, or any round coping for that matter.
i dont know if it means anything, but i'm starting to suspect that rolling is on an upswing again--i'm seeing more rollers in mainstream television. i dont know whether i should be happy or deeply concerned.
happy and sad- vert will never die! ill build my own ramp if i have to! id do it even if it was **really** unpopular because i love it so much.

vert will never die. It has a huge spot in the rolling community. Street supports vert and vert supports street.
well, it's offical....i have no more halfpipes. i'm vert-deprived.
I'll have to be a MacGuyver-type skater and try to get air and do vert tricks on a quarterpipe-vert wall...but that gets mad tiring after a while. BUT, i am THAT determined to skate vert.
