didn't thumper say it was like a misty flip in vert. it looks like a cool rotation. i'd try it if i could.
a misty flip in a vert would be a McTwist i think. becuase i misty flip your going upside down with a 540, or 720 if your daring, and a McTwist is exactly the same. A hover flip i dont think you go entifly upside down, from what i've seen it lookslike half a frontflip with a flatspin thrown into it.

i dunno...i couldn't really tell what kind of rotation it was, cause i'll just sit there and watch it then rewind it to watch it again and again. i just can't figure it out either.

a hover flip is just a front flip with a 180 in it, people do them on slightly different axises sometimes, they get called different things, i do what i call a mctwist but arlo called it a hoverflip, and like thumper said in another post, he calls his a misty. nice looking tricks though in my opinion.

their is a difference you can call it what ever you want to call it im not the kind of person to tell someone their wrong for calling stuff other things.
For a while i called a hurricane cess slide a geo slide until i learned what it was but i still call it a geo slide sometimes.
but im not trying to start a fight or anything or try tyo make anyone mad.
a misty is a backflip 180
a hover flip is a frontflip 180
now you can call it what ever you want but the technical definition and list name of the trick is a hover flip where it is a frontflip 180.

however i will make one note that different variations of the trick spin wise and style wise make for different trick and names

seriously, a misty is the term generally used for when its done on park/street, but it is deffinately front 180 and i think you would find it hard to find many people who disagree. But hey call it what u will, back flip 180 = flair btw

If you've seen Eito do a Mctwist that is a hover flip. My flip is simular to a hover flip. It's basically like a misty flip on vert. Is a completely sideways front flip 180. The front flip is a 360 dregree rotation plus the 180 so it's a 540 spin in all.

i do a kind of 180 to frontflip which i just call a flair as it has changed over time into something different.

yeah, never mind i learnt the 540 version as well  I just cant 720 now
