It's still early in the season for inline comps... but I agree with you that there are far too few comps in Florida (street or park). Kona doesn't support inline at all anymore, and neither do virtually all of the outdoor parks. Your best chance for a park inline comp is 688 SP/Ross Norton SP, Paradise SP, Brian Piccolo SP, and possibly The Edge SP in Naples. There may also be a comp or two in the Panhandle, but so many parks up there have closed that I don't know who's up there to organize one.

Frankie & friends holds street comps in South Florida, you have to look closely to find them. University Surf & Skate in Orlando used to sponsor inline comps, you can give them a call for info.

If and when ASA ramps up for another season, they generally hold at least 2 qualifiers in FL (last year it was at 688 SP and at Pierfest).

That said, here are the only inline comps I know of so far:

Mar 24, Vans Orlando - PlayStation Am Jam Tour
April (date unknown, possibly Apr 14/15) - Pierfest, in St Pete

BTW, Atlanta has way more inline activity.

hey, arent you the dad I was talking to last year about florida skateparks?

and I agree, Florida should have way more inline comps, when I went to Vans, I was the only blader there besides this little 10yr girl who was going no where. everyone looked at me as if i came from an ancient tribe, and they all stopped when I hit up the spines and tabletops. sad, really. I should really move down there to get some motivation back into those people.
