i'm a park shark/intermediate street skater, but i live less than 10min away from a halfpipe, so i'm brushing up on my vert skills.

right now, my best trick is a fakie front flip, halfway up the transition. when i tuck, i land in the same place i started. (judges give you higher scores if you use more of the ramp) How do you do flip/spins across the pipe, without falling due to the extra rotation?

yesterday, i was trying to tweak my fakie front into a fakie5bio. i dropped my shoulders, and spun it like a normal fakie 540, but I "drifted" out into the middle of the halfpipe. from that point i freaked out, and bailed. i actually managed to 720, if you count the extra 180° sliding down the pipe. How do you do tricks like bio or flatspins that require you to be "in the middle" of the ramp?

keep really tucked in, as soon as you let yourself open up you will drift out into the flat bottom.

You are likely jumping too much. The higher you go on the ramp the less you have to jump. Up at the vert you don't have to pop at all just throw the flip, If you are really low in the ramp or in a mini ramp you have to jump a decent amount into the ramp.

Be sure you don't straighten your legs too much when you pump going up.
That will push you out a lot.

when you front flip, do you have to try and jump outwards lots if you are just below the vert?

yeah, i push out when i do the 3F. i can't air higher than 2 ft, so all my trick(s) are below the coping.
