its not that hard man. just think of everything you like about vert, and everything about street.(advantages) then think of stuff you can do on vert but not street, and vice versa.(disadvantages) if you need any more help i'll pm some ideas to you.
i know i can come up with things but i need at least one outside source for the paper so i figured why not ask some guys that skate what they think

i completly forgot about street skating being illegal. i don't skate street as much as i used to, and my town has no "skate laws", its just looked down on.

how about include the difference in lifestyles? Don't you think vert skaters live more the life of dedicated athletes? And street skaters live more like partiers? From the videos, seems like all they do besides skate is get drunk and hurl or go out and make trouble. Or is that just an image as bad boys they want to create? In any case, that's not the image you get when you look at vert skaters. So is it the image they create that's different or are they really different?
Other thing is how about the difference in attitude about injury? How street skaters can just throw their bodies up to try a trick over and over and catch it on video once and become famous. Or wreck themselves and end their so-called career. Like guys doing nuts (stupid) huges gaps. No real trick...just land it or break your ankles. But vert skaters look at a longer time period....maybe because once they do one trick, there's the other side of the vert waiting for another trick.
I think your paper will be more interesting if you put stuff in it that outsiders wouldn't know or be able to figure out easaly just watching guys skate.
thanks for the input you guys
i realize you probably already did your paper, but here's my $0.02
street hurts. ever nutted on coping?
vert is all year round; street is weather permitting.
however, wheels tend to decore on vert faster, because your wheels spin faster and longer, but wheels wear faster on street because of the uneven terrain.
you can skate street almost anywhere, but vert ramps are very few. it doesnt hurt nearly as much if you fall on vert, because the ramp curves, so you dont smack into the ground; in street, you smack into the ground.
you can do bigger rotations on vert, than on street, but you can do more switches on street, than on vert.
eventually, you will reach an anticlimax in vert, and you wont progress for a while. there's an anticlimax in street, but it's not nearly as long.
vert skaters tend to have more colorful personalities than street skaters.
vert skaters tend to rock RB, and K2, whereas street skaters tend to sport USD and razors.
vert costs money; street is free.
