royal: first once you are very confinident with a frontside get kinda leen to one side bend you knees and shift your balance to what ever side you lean to. it might take you a few tries.i would suggest doing it on a round rail first

Makio: ive seen a bunch of kids do this trick wrong you have to stay on top of it. don't just kick your foot out. jump up and put your foot on the rail and keep your weight over it. once you get good at that try a rocket makio. ( kick your other foot out and grab your toe.)
^^^ looks a lot better

A royale balance is kind of like a soul. You have to bend your back knee, a lot of kids try to do this trick entirely with thier ankle, your ankle can't support all the weight on its own. Try and keep your weight so your crotch is right in front of your frame.

I wouldn't get it that high.If its to high it will make it harder to learn tricks and will hurt more when you fall. Mine is 1 and a half feet high and I like it. I am probably building a box though.

I have a 10ft long bar drilled into a 2by8 supported with wooden slats on the end and triangles to keep it from breaking. I put bike inner tube on the bottoms of the slats to keep it from slipping
