TRS Downtown

I started skating about 2 years ago, then stopped, then started up again recently. Well, needless to say, my old skates are really tight on me now. Well i was shopping around and saw the TRS Downtown for $150.. is this okay? or are there any better skates i could get for $150 or less.

there definantly decent skates, though change the liner ASAP. Rollerblade liners suck

i skate stock downtowns apart from the wheels and they are fine skates, and for the money you cant go wrong!

Rob how can you skate those liner though, and the frames! I got RB's now and i like em, especially after i customized them to hell. These are my skates now im going to put sizes of the parts to just bescause it's really messed up,
Size 9 TRS access shell
Size 12 Alex Broskow skin, 1st ed
Size 11 white midsouls with black inserts
Size 10 Murda Jug liners
Murda Bullet frames
Arragon Mindgame wheels
Remz cuff

Crazy customization especially the cuffs, i spent 3 hours cutting the cuffs off becuase the metal would heat up to much and start to melt the boot. Then after i got the rivits cut i hate to cut part of the back of the boot off to get the cuffs to go on. They they are really nice now, can get them really tight on my ankles but still have decent flex for grinds.

tried those on for a short time, and completely lost my royale...
RB's are the best looking skates out there, but their flex is awful without some mods/breaking in... what would make you pick RB over sayy a k2 or razor skate?

i had k2 250s for 2 years upuntil 2001 when i went to dallas and saw taig takeshi etc in trs, so i though i would get some and see how they were and i loved them, since then i have just skated rb

and come to think of it, why are schrijns $40 more than lennens generally?

I love my downtowns. They have good flex after a couple days of breaking in, good support, and they're durable. I plan on getting some Jug liners and Kizer fluid suspension frames sometime soon too.

personally i would go for the Alphas but thats just me and I like TRS

rb are damn good skates. if yours are stiff, then it's because they arent broken in yet. until you can topsoul, torque, and royale with them buckled all the way, you have some work to do. make sure you lose the stock liner. everything else is fine....even the frames. rb frames are actually better than GC frames because they have a higher profile which means you have more space to lock on topsides...if you like that sort of thing.

i have had a pair of alpha 2's for about 6 months and the liners are fine thogh the do get real worn around the back of the heel

no it's not, just really dificulkt to control yourself in the flat. Hell i used to skate vert in a freestyle set-up

Its not imposibble, all my does is skate vert and he luvs it wit ani-rockers. Some people liek it that way. it is goofy though.

yea....i tried skating vert in my new xsjado's and i couldn't get hardly any speed....i put my fiziks back on and i was back at coping level....
