Do frames really matter when it comes to vert skating? I have the GC 3's w/ anti-rockers. Does that really matter?
I have the GC 3's w/ anti-rockers.
ANTI-ROCKERS!!!!! dont worry i used to be in the same boat as you, i tried using the Omar Wysong FREESTYLE frames but it was a disaster. You want to ride a full flat setup, try to get ahold of some Fiziks frames, Acually if you could go to to louisville when i come down I have a set of Fiziks i could sell you lets say $10-$20. if you cant get some fiziks get ahold of some GC2's and put a full flat set-up in them. Also get some Cozmo lightforce wheels, www.inlinewarehouse.com, they will help a little.

thanks for the tips. I'll definitly look into getting some of those wheels cause I shop at roller warehouse all the time. but i was thinking about getting some fiziks, but then I heard they were out of bussiness so i was kinda bummed. so yea, definitly man.
the only problem is there a medium and pretty beat up, but they still work perfectly, that why im only asking 10-20 bucks for them.

thats cool man...i guess i'll just have to check them out when you get here.
MEDIUM (5.0-8.5)
LARGE (9.0-13.0)
i have a 10 so it might not work. i dunno.
i put them on a siz 11 Remz so they should work on a size 10. it just takes a little getting used to becuase it is a shorter wheel base, though it's not terribly noticible.

Fiziks are the best for vert in my opinion.

problem is i don't want to always be changing my frames. i like my ground controls, and i'm not so sure how the fiziks will hold up on some of these gaps i'm trying. i just don't want my wheels to go in too far and lock up on me.

i have had my wheels hit my sole plate when doing gaps and stuff, i have never noticed that they hit while i was riding, when the do hit it is more like a touch, they don't stay there very long.

ok i just wasn't sure how far the shocks went in. i didn't want to be flying over a nice big set and then land and my wheels lock up. i guess i'll just have to try a pair to see if i like them.

the best size whell to ride them with is 56mm
if you bevel the rockers out and try to get bigger wheels it will limit the suspension

all i use is 56. so that shouldn't be a problem. like i said i'll just have to try them this weekend when Paul comes down.

How do you know bevelling out the frames will limit suspension. I can think of only 1 guy I know who's tried it :D

well the fiziks are designed for 56mm wheels, and 56's barely touch the sole when the frame is maxed out, so if you put a 57 or 58mm wheel in there, that takes off 1 or 2mm on the available travel

I don't have any problem with my 58's
i'd go with rollerblade frames, simply because i've managed to fit 62mm wheels in them. bigger wheels=better for vert.

well i guess my frame situation doesn't matter anymore because i've seen the light now...and it shines fiziks(thanks Paul). now i love the fiziks, but i just can't give up my gc3's for street. now i can start working on becoming bette in vert. i'm gonna try to start going to the park and practice vert at least every other weekend, if not every weekend.
