I am going to try get a pro interview once a month.
This months pro is Vinicius Rosa.
Now not a lot of people know of Vini, yet. He's from Brazil and his first
year on the Pro tour was 2004 where he made his mark by winning Latin
X-Games and then competing in X-Games in America where he placed 7th. He skipped the ASA am circuit altogether.
Vini is one of the most well rounded vert skaters on the tour. He's got
tech grinds, good airs, clean spins and ill style. He's the only person
besides Eito who can California roll and I've seen him do 540 disaster
stalls on the extention to fakie and link, 720's to fakie 270 kind grinds
to fakie 9's and still have his pump going.
Vini is also a really chill guy with a good sense of humor. Whenever we
session we push each other and have some good laughs.

well...is just a regular name...doesnt mean nothing different
2. How old are you?
im 22 years old
3. Why are there so many good skaters from Brazil?? What is the scene
like over there that aspires such talent?
well we got a bunch of good skaters here...but is pretty expensive to go
to america...so...i think here everthing is kind of harder than usually u
know...cause we dont have contests and events here...the brasilian people
really trust in dreams u know...i think thats why
4. What have you been up to lately?? What are your hobbies?
well my hobbies are gym...and my turntables cause im a dj here in brasil
so...now im playing and just studing.
5. How was it to compete in XGames in the US as your first contests
outside of brazil?
was awesome...and i get kind of scared...u know a lot of
people....everthing different...different skaters...different crowd...was
pretty fun for sure.
6. Who are your favorite skaters to watch compete on street and vert?
my favorite street skater is aaron feinberg...but hes not competing all
the time...i like to watch stephan alphano from france...at vert...i like
to watch takeshi and shane...theyre amazing
7. Do you skate street or park as well? i used to skate and compete
street also here in brasil a couple of years ago..now i just wanna have
some fun at street....im just really skating at vert
8. What is your favorite trick?? How did you learn it?
the alleyoop 1080 is my favorite now...i just tryied this trick at huntingtons best trick contest...and i landed at second attempt...was weird...hehehe
9. What has been the greatest influence on your skating and abilities?
my influence was cesar mora...now my influence is different...can be
cesar....shane...marc...thumperini...matheus...gui le...all of my
friends...when everbody is skating and having fun together...thats the
real inspiration.
