I've just skated a pair of Valo and i am very impressed. they are so comfortable and i was so suprised at how fastg they were in grinds. the pair i tried were very fast despite them being the basic valo wheel and frame set up which wasnt that greatest i have to admit. also the pair i tried had no middle wheels which i personally hate, i like to run flat four so i didnt really try them out properly on vert, just a few tricks like inverts and stuff but they were pretty smooth. on street they were also really good, like i said, locking into grinds and stuff was so easy. the skins look ok but my friend as taken his skins off and they look sick, like the m12s (for obvious reasons) but with the squarer soul plates, etc. overall i think they're a great all around skate and am seriously considering whether or not to buy a pair ... and de-skin them!

yea that would make sense but seeing as i may be getting my hands on a free pair of valo then i dont see much point ... plus you dont get the soul kit from the valo

I've heard that same criticism on the soul not being very durable and that the stock frame isn't all that great. But shit my m12s were the best and if it's basically the same boot then you can't go wrong. Not that I'm like any good at vert...

Plus that black & gray Valo is pretty fresh. :P I'd maybe pick 'em up but now I might be getting Deshis - my first break from hardboot, so I think I'm gonna tweak my Salomons to flatrock vert boots. Anyway.

Im gunna be buying the xsjado skates pretty soon, using them for park and street, and the using my K2's for vert so i dont have to worry about switching frames at contest to skate vert.

when i get them im gunna try them out on vert just to see if they would work becuase i held them and there light as hell but im not to sure about ankle strength though is the only problem i think they would have on vert

im using my old salomon st90-2 boots for vert because theyre really light, my rob thompsons are slightly heavier and the widebodies get in the way :(
